Your consultation will allow us to evaluate your current ocular status and measure some specific components of the eyes. We will collect data we will use to make an assessment of your candidacy for laser vision correction. The encounter also allows you to meet our staff and speak with one of our H. Rubin Laser Vision Coordinators. They will personally review all information with you, and will answer any and all questions you may have about your options.

Meeting with one of our coordinators is absolutely free. Our professional staff is on hand to make you totally at ease with the options that exist which will be best for you. Once collected, your information will be kept on hand in our database, and will be for our internal use only. If you wish to learn more about our privacy practices, please feel free to request a copy of our HIPAA Brochure.

If you decide to proceed with laser vision correction, we will schedule you for a pre-operative examination. This exam will be performed by one of our qualified Optometrists and upon completion, we will schedule you for a surgery date. The fee for this exam is $240, and this is in addition to the LASIK procedure fee. Most encounters are complete within 45 minutes, but we suggest that you plan to be in our facility for 60 to 90 minutes. That way, if any additional testing needs to be performed, or if you have additional question, we will be able to completely address your concerns in the same visit.

Making the decision to have laser vision correction is a significant event. We will work very hard to make sure you are completely comfortable with the procedure and our team before proceeding. In fact, we suggest discussing the options with family and friends prior to coming in for your consultation. Of course, if you would like to bring a friend or relative with you for this visit, we would love to see them.
